About me and my blog

Hi everyone, I’m TJ Tryon. This blog is an extension of my journaling process, of which you’ll see likely nothing, maybe something, occasionally something pretty important, at least important to me. I just turned 52 (in 2025), and have been retired since 2017. My lovely wife Jennifer and I have been married for just over a decade now. I had a very bad fall, landing on my head on concrete from 22 feet up, and have a traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, and PTSD. This has caused changes, not necessarily great, and make me to have really stressful relationships, including with some of my children, which has caused me to take time for a pause in life, and caused me to reconsider several things in my life – and the situation just plain sucks.

Along with picking up reading for pleasure again, I have committed to start journaling again. All my journaling initially is ink and pen in my journaling books, and if I find they are important enough for me to relive the journal entry, I will be adding the journal entry into this, my blog. I do have a feeling that the bar for this will be set fairly low, and most things will be thrown at the virtual blog wall, and most things will likely stick. Maybe I’ll add more info about me and my kiddos later, but then again, maybe not, as, while these things are the subject of my paper journals, these sort of things are not necessarily my story to tell.

Some of the things I post will be way over-baked, and some may be very under-baked, with just some ideas listed, maybe for possible future development, or maybe not. Just remember, while I appreciate you participating in my minor mental meltdowns, vicariously through my blog entries, these journals are really to help keep my focus, organize my thoughts, and in general, keep my mental flow in an organized, simple, conditioned place.

If you like what you read, thank you, feel free to subscribe. If you really, really like what I write, I love Chipotle gift cards, of any value, from $1 to any amount. If you are completely ecstatic, I love 1st Wave Vinyl (think Depeche Mode, Psychedelic Furs, The Cure, The Clash, Susie and the Banshees and ANYTHING Tears for Fears). Feel free to surprise me with anything, or with nothing. Even a link to a good YouTube video is worth something to me. My emotional state is still a bit fragile, and little gifts like these, while they are actually inexpensive, do help me to sit back, ponder the future, and genuinely smile. Many thanks in advance, if your heart is kind enough to even consider sending something.
